Double Exposures
Overview
Double exposure is a photographic technique where two images are captured onto the same frame of film (or digitally layered), allowing them to coexist in a single composition.
Context
Shot in collaboration with Ngân Vũ, this double exposure layers portrait and environment into a single frame, letting one image softly bleed into the other. The composition plays with transparency and timing: flowers partially dissolve into mahjong, edges blur, and light becomes connective tissue between the two exposures. Rather than documenting a single moment, the image holds multiple, inviting a quieter kind of attention where meaning emerges through overlap and ambiguity.
